This is how Ed is a Changemaker:
Ed Cain, Vice President-Grant Programs for the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, is responsible for the Foundation’s overall grantmaking activities, supervises the program department and assists in the formulation of strategic plans and grant budgets. For five years prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Cain served as the Director of The Carter Center’s Global Development Initiative, which facilitated the formulation and implementation of national development strategies in Albania, Guyana, Mali and Mozambique. As a senior member of The Carter Center’s Peace Program team, he also advised President Carter on global development issues. During a 30-year career with the United Nations, Mr. Cain held positions including Representative in the Arab Republic of Egypt, UN Representative in Turkey, first Director of the Development Program’s Emergency Response Division, and Chief of Staff to the UN Undersecretary General for General Assembly and Political Affairs. He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of Delaware, a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Oregon and was a Fellow at the Harvard Center for International Affairs.
