TakingITGlobal is an international, youth-led, technology-empowered organization based in Toronto, Canada. TakingITGlobal seeks, through offline and online programming, to: increase the ability of young people as leaders and stakeholders in their local and global communities; foster cross cultural dialogue and understanding; and to increase awareness and action among youth around global issues.

In 2000 TakingITGlobal began operating its core program, the TakingITGlobal.org online community. TakingITGlobal.org has reached over 5 million people and serves 170,000+ young leaders in more than 200 countries. The web site operates in 11 languages and receives more than 40 million web site ‘hits’ each month.
