Your Game is the unique BBC initiative which uses sport and music to change the lives of young people across the UK.

Sport is increasingly recognised as one of the most important tools in engaging and empowering young people and the role of the media is crucial to this process.

The project opens up opportunities in coaching, volunteering and the media, for individuals and organisations, and gives a voice to disadvantaged youth. This year thousands of young men and women from hard-to-reach communities took part in ten street-football festivals around the country and plans are already underway for Your Game 2008.

Your Game also showcases sport as a global force for social change and delivered a unique training program entitled "Media, Sport and Development" at UK Sports’ Next Step conference in Namibia (September 2007). With this in mind we will also be working to harness the power of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

The project is a partnership between the BBC and the Football Foundation, supported by Barclays Spaces for Sports.
