About Ameen Charles

This is how Ameen is a Changemaker:
I working in rural areas since last 1995, I have been worked with different communities, mainly tribe and primitive tribes. I have been stablish an organization which called CDC [Community Development Centre] in 2000 with other 4 like minded young peoples. After that we are continue working to bring change in community. Basically we are bringing change in behavior, positive thinking and voluntary action in the community.

The place for which Ameen feels a fondness or connection:
Rural youth needs support to come in mainstream, they have strengthens and ability but unable to access information, resources and support timely.

The change Ameen passionately wants to happen:
I want, every human being get their rights with dignity. A just society where we could live without Fear and Tear. [No Fear No Tear]

Bio

I am leading CDC as Executive Director, CDC is a small team of 10 peoples whose are young and dedicated to work for poor people. In last five years we have been worked with CARE India on reducing IMR,MMR and Malnutrition and strengthening of system of service providers in two backward districts of Madhya Pradesh State in India. CDC has completed one project with the support of Development Alternatives, The PACS [Poorest Area Civil Society] programme was funded by DFID, Under this project we have been formed more than 80 women's self help groups and now these groups are federated and now functioning nicely, with this advocacting local issues i.e. livelihood, Govt. schemes, domestic voilance etc. CDC is promoting youths for voluntary work, so our team has been formed more than 30 youth groups, these groups are now initiating action on community problems i.e. sanitation, school health, information dissemination of Govt. schemes etc. One more very good project we are doing with SDTT [Sir Dorabji Tata Trust] on strengthening governance on health rights. CDC has been organized local NGOs in a network which called District Development Group, this is now in very initial stage.
