In my role as the Director of Recruitment, and working in the Hispanic Mentoring Program, I am able to help families gain the help of a mentor. I also have other community partners who can provide other services to the same children we serve.

The place for which rebeca feels a fondness or connection:
I have a special fondness for my church, Destiny Christian Center in Greensboro, NC, because it is a place of change and helps people achieve excellence in their life.

The change rebeca passionately wants to happen:
For all children to be able to obtain a higher education.

Bio

I have worked as a Child Protective Services worker. I worked with families were risk to children was identified, as well as working as an Investigator, where my ability to judge a situation and make a fast decision was key to my work. Often times, this work was extremely stressful and dangerous. Every case was different and unpredictable. Common sense and street sense came were essential in this job. Taking children from their families was difficult, but it was a necessary step to keeping children safe. I loved that job.
