Every year i get season rugby tickets for my local team and always support their events to help them raise money.

Hi Malcolm,

This is a really unique approach to combine educational messages with sporting role models to promote social change.

You mentioned the part of the project would involve conducting sport coaching clinics. Can you expand on this a little? Do you anticipate providing coaching for soccer and rugby. for girls and boys?

This innovation sounds very comprehensive and I'm wondering what kind of partnerships you plan to create with local organisations or instititions, for example, to produce the educational and coaching components.

This is great idea to build on the momentum of the Rugby and the FIFA World Cups in South Africa.

Best regards,
Jackie

Hello Dana,

Thank you for your question.

Evaluation - LEVEL 1 (Individual Participation):

On the basis of planning and discussions held during the concept phase, the following are some of the main questions that will be addressed by this level of evaluation:
• Was there a significant increase in motivation, knowledge absorption/retention, awareness and behaviour?
• To what degree did the program actually effect behavior change, as opposed to just spreading knowledge?
• While the board games’ theme and inspirational graphics add to the aesthetic quality of the experience, we want to determine whether the underlying constructs (informational cues, group information sharing, etc.) do indeed influence social presence.
• Community participation.
• General feedback about the program.

Evaluation - LEVEL 2 (Corporate Participation):

This program will compete for resources in a country with a high number of not-for-profit organizations that target corporates to augment their revenue sources. Based on this challenge, this level of evaluation will demonstrate to current/potential sponsors that the program is operating as intended (providing a meaningful experience to all participants whilst simultaneously giving corporate sponsors an opportunity to promote their products and demonstrate their social responsibility).

Regards,
Malcolm

Hello Malcolm,

Could you expand on the multi-tiered research/evaluation model that you plan to implement?
Was is this and what are the goals behind it?

I enjoyed reading your post but was interested in learning more about the revenue generation you referred to and the business plan. Can you tell me more about the income generating activities and how they will sustain your organization? Thanks!

Profits generated will be used to help implement small micro enterprises e.g. developing vegetable gardens to help fight malnutrition. Students from partner schools will work with communities to plant these gardens. Communities will care for the garden, eat the food that comes from it and sell off any surplus vegetables.
